Volunteer Opportunities

HYAC (a non-profit organization) is run by volunteers. Any kind of dedication is welcome! High School Students who need credits for community service are welcome!

Founded in 1987 we are proud of the quality music and the inspiration to the performers and audience members that we are. The musicians in HYAC have gone on to become professionals in all walks of life and their musical careers have included Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, Avery Fisher Career Grant recipient, New York Philharmonic Concertmaster among other very prestigious awards.

For 35 years, HYAC has been devoted to giving hundreds of young musicians the chance to develop confidence, self-esteem, discipline and performance skills. The satisfaction of watching a child evolve into a mature, successful adult is a parent's priceless joy. You can help HYAC continue that good work by donating a bit of your time. Too busy right now to volunteer? By making a modest financial contribution, you will help HYAC print programs, rent concert space and keep this organization running smoothly in the future. Who knows? Perhaps the next generation of Houston Young Artists will include a family member. What a great tradition to keep alive!

Examples of Volunteer works:

  • Ushers for the concerts
  • Doorman for the concerts
  • Monitors for the rehearsal rooms
  • Monitors for the backstage
  • Stage crews for the concert
  • Advertisement for any events

You may email hyacinfo@gmail.com or fill out our contact form to tell HYAC the volunteer activity that you would like to be involved in. You may also contribute money to HYAC to be used in printing programs, rental of space and day to day activities associated with building Houston’s Art Community. We are a 501©(3) which makes your donation tax deductible.

Volunteers (age 14 and above) can count their hours towards school Honor Society and other service organizations.
